Tri-State Rural Mission Workteam
Renews Old Friendships !

Our friends on this team have been coming for many years from many states to serve those needing a decent home and to renew old friendships. The group members this year are from Florida and several New England states. These 16 friends and fellow volunteers, mostly United Methodists connected with UMC Volunteers in Missions, stayed the week of March 29-April 5 at Wesley Memorial UMC at Hollywood. They have grown to love this church and its pastor, Rev. Julius McDowell. They worked on several homes to complete badly needed repairs to make these homes safer, healthy and more livable. Two group members also donated their expertise to place the Rural Mission name and other spiritual messages on the Mission's new trailer in the picture below.
