Rural Missions

Home for Mack Family

Mrs. Mack is 72 years old and lives in a very old trailer with her disabled son. She lives on $6,500 a year from social security. This small two bedroom home is being built by the Rural Mission and our volunteers to give her a decent, safe and warm place to live. This picture was taken on February 25, 2009. Much work needs to be done.

The Mission is contacting both local churches and others who support our ministry to ask that they give in two ways to this charitable purpose.

  • Please make a commitment for volunteers from your congregation to serve for two days, either weekdays or weekends, to help complete this home. There is work for all ages (minimum 14 yrs.) and skills, although volunteers skilled in carpentry and construction will be of great help.

  • Please commit to a donation of at least $500 if possible to help complete this home.

The Mission received grant funds to begin this home but these funds were not sufficient to complete the home. Overall giving is down and we are asking churches to become involved in this outreach opportunity to help a family in great need. Please contact Chris Brooks at 823-725-9698 or by Email: .

Thank you for helping Mrs. Mack and for sharing this request on with others!
