The Rural Mission is very appreciative of the following special grants and donations received during the month of May.

  • Wells Fargo Housing Foundation Charitable Committee -The Wells Fargo Housing Foundation Charitable Committee has awarded a grant of $10,000 to assist in the improvement of low income housing to improve the lives of low income families in hardship and need.   • Wells Fargo Foundation -The Wells Fargo Foundation has provided a grant to support our volunteers and staff in the repair and improvement of low income homes in emergency situations requiring immediate help for safety and health hazards.   • TJX Foundation and Companies -The TJX Foundation and Companies provided a grant check in the amount of $4,500 to support our outreach work. Learn more at: www.tjx.com/about.asp.
  • Joanna Foundation of South Carolina -The Joanna Foundation of South Carolina has generously provided a $3,000 grant to support our outreach work among those in need and hardship. Please visit their website at: www.joannafoundation.org/.
  • Sisters of Charity of South Carolina Foundation -The Sisters of Charity of South Carolina Foundation has awarded a $4,000 grant through the Caritas Grant Program to help provide decent and safe housing to Sea Island families. Please learn more at: www.sistersofcharitysc.com.
  • Sisters Class at St. Andrews Parish UMC -The Sisters Class at St. Andrews Parish UMC in Charleston hosted a tea for the ladies of the church and raised $946 which was generously given to the Mission to assist needy families with home repairs.
  • Wesley Chapel, UMC in New Albany, Indiana -Wesley Chapel, UMC in New Albany, Indiana has donated $300 to allow the Mission to repair and improve homes. There website: www.wesleychapel.org
