The Rural Mission’s outreach to the Gethers family on Johns Island gets a boost thanks to Berkeley Electric Cooperative!

Pictured above as Berkeley Electric Trust Fund representative Jim Nicholson presents an Operation Round-up Trust Fund grant check to Mrs. Gethers are left to right — Sonja Gethers, Andy Sorasy, Linda D. Gadson of the Mission, Mrs. Sadie Gethers, Rev. Otis Scott of Wesley United Methodist Church, Jim Nicholson, Linda Fasig of the Mission, Martha Harris of BEC, and Anderson Mack, Jr. of the Mission.

The $2,500 grant to the Gethers family and the Rural Mission will help begin the work to replace their old and unsafe home with a new home. We are grateful to the Operation Round-Up Trust Fund of BEC for this support.

The Rural Mission needs for the Charleston community to support this charitable work through donations and volunteers. You can help provide this family with a decent home. The Mission can be contacted at 768-1720, at PO Box 235, Johns Island, SC 29457.
