The Citadel’s Run for a Reason event is being held Wednesday October 22nd. This event is part of the bigger Citadel Leadership Day, in which the entire corps of cadets participates. Around 100 cadets will be running from the Citadel campus over the Cooper River Bridge to the Memorial Waterfront Park in Mount Pleasant to raise awareness and funds for 1 of 5 organizations. This year the students will be working with the following organizations:

Rural Misison
Camp Rise Above
Dragon Boat Charleston
One80 Place
Special Olympics District 6

The cadets will take off from the Citadel around 9:30 a.m. A representative from each organization will have the chance to see them out of the gates and meet them on the other side. The finish line will allow space for the students to interact with volunteers or employees from the particular organization for which they raised funds and ran.

We are honored to be a part of this event and look forward to sharing an update and photos with you afterward!
