Citadel Cadets on Leadership Day

Each year, the Citadel hosts Leadership Day, as a way to provide students with the opportunity to learn through service in the community, interact with diverse populations, train for ethical and skilled leadership and serve as a trained leader for service teams and/or prepare for service and leadership within their discipline.

The Citadel cadets have been coming to Rural Mission for more than 4 years and jump right in helping with whatever projects we need help with.

This year, our biggest project was clean-up after Hurricane Matthew. With countless branches, leaves and debris scattered across our lawn and on our roofs, there was much to be done.

Thankfully the cadets did not disappoint! They did what they always do and worked hard clearing branches and cleaning off our roofs. They even chopped wood to help our residents who use wood stoves and fireplaces for heating.

We are so thankful to have the Citadel cadets helping us each year! They are a true blessing to our organization.
