When: November 14, 3-6 pm Where: Bowen Island Restaurant, Folly Road There is no better place for roasted oysters on a November day than the scenic and one of a kind Bowen Island Restaurant on the way to Folly Beach. The sunset view is spectacular and the oysters perfectly roasted. These folks have been roasting oysters at Bowen Island for generations! Thank you Kiawah Seabrook Exchange Club!

The Kiawah Seabrook Exchange Club has again awarded the Rural Mission with a generous and much needed grant to help support our outreach ministry to those in need. The $7,000 grant was awarded in October and the presentation ceremony was held at the Mission on November 1. We greatly appreciate the help of Lawrence Burpee and Mike Todd in obtaining this grant. The Exchange Club of Charleston, S.C. has generously supported charities and non-profits for more than 50 years from the proceeds of the annual Coastal Carolina Fair. This year the Exchange Club presented grants to 61 charities and agencies with more than $500,000 from the proceeds of the 10 day fair. The Rural Mission is very grateful for their support.
